In a legal career spanning more than 20 years, after admission as a lawyer in 2008, Laura has practised in top law firms in Melbourne and in a growing, high performing business. She has acted for major trading banks, corporations and accounting firms in a wide variety of commercial matters, disputes, reconstruction and commercial insolvency matters. She is the Chairman of the Big Group Hug board and her significant experience in managing and evaluating risk in a complex commercial environment means you know you are in good hands.

Laura is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria, Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. She was a student of McKinsey Academy’s Management Program, with a focus on Business Strategy. She obtained degrees in Law and Arts, and later a Masters degree in Commercial Law, at Monash University.
Laura is an experienced senior corporate legal counsel with strong commercial and technical expertise developed in commercial litigation, banking, finance and insolvency. She gets excited about working alongside businesses and busting myths about stick-in-the-mud lawyers. Laura thinks that a really good lawyer can be a trusted advisor to a business, can be creative and strategic, and give guidance to help your business flourish and profit in the way every business owner dreams.
